Re-creating film stills

So with this assignment we had two options: Either help with making a shot for a teen series or re-create a film still, we chose the latter. Below this you can see a still from the movie The Piano by Jane Campion. This workshop was all about light settings and planning, where to place the light, choose the right type of lighting and see how to adjust to the right spot (no pun intended).

First time at the light workshop, honestly this was an hectic day due to a lot of things happening (can't/won't disclose this) so that is why I don't really remember why we chose this theme and story. All I know is that Indra & Gijs mainly came up with this and I was just fine with everything. We used like 4 lightsources, the Aputure 1200D was the main source along with a flexLED light. in de back were 2 small Aputure lights (Aputure amaran MCs) that's about it.

The final day, here we made a short scene in the basement of the academy. The story was about two detectives on the hunt for a criminal. We had one or two lights outside and one small tube light on the ceiling of the basement. I myself was the 1st AC which was new for me but I enjoyed it very much!
